Managing Director
Peter Ledden RPN, MIACP, MLBCAI, MISMA, MIHSMI, MEAPAI, Dip. Psychotherapy, Advanced Cert CISM.

Profile
Peter is the Managing Director of Abate Counselling & EAP Limited. He is a registered Nurse,Accredited Psychotherapist and Supervisor and has worked with individuals and groups in the public and private sector for over twenty years. He is an accredited member of the International Stress Management Institute, the Association of Professional Coaches, the EAP Association, the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and the Irish Health Services Management Institute, where he was Membership Secretary. He has undergone training in Stress Management, CISM, Counselling and Psychotherapy, Bereavement Counselling, Mediation, Personnel Management and Health Services Management.

Training
Peter has worked with many organisations in both a training and consultancy capacity - this included the Alzheimer Society of Ireland where he set up the National Telephone Helpline. He also worked with Schizophrenia Ireland and the Carers Association. He has been involved on the Board Altranais approved Nurse training Course at St Luke’s Hospital. He was a director of The Lifecoach Institute and is also a Counselling supervisor involved in the training of Psychotherapists in Ireland. Peter has also trained Psychotherapists for both the Tivoli Institute and Accord and currently lectures trainee Counsellors in PCI College Dublin.

CISM
Peter is qualified in CISM (Critical Incident Stress Management) at Basic and Advanced Level. He has co-ordinated individual CISM responses for Dublin Bus, the Gardaí; security services personnel and bank staff who have been involved in threatening situations.

Abate Counselling & EAP Limited are in the unique position of being the only ICISF (International Critical Incident Stress Foundation) Registered Hotline Response Team in Ireland with access to our own register of ICISF accredited counsellors.
